This Lute Player is a Fellow of Trinity College of Music (London) and studied with Anthony Rooley, Adele Kramer, Michael Jesset and composition with Anthony Gilbert.
He has given recitals at music societies, Festivals, Independent Schools, performed on radio and TV and for the National Trust throughout the United Kingdom. International recitals, teaching, radio and T.V. appearances have taken place in Italy, Spain, Belgium, Yugoslavia, Ukraine, France, Holland, Germany, Eire, Poland, Czech Republic (including the Prague Early Music Festival 1992) the U.S.A. and Bulgaria. In Bulgaria (1995 and 1997) he also sat on jury of the International Guitar Competition in Plovdiv. The British Council has supported many of these international concerts.
He is a published composer providing music for television and film, and leading lutenists and guitarists have played his compositions and arrangements.
For the last seven years he has taught at the International Summer School of Early Music in Valtice, Czech Republic.
In the field of Early Music he has performed with many leading musicians and has recently recorded a CD with the tenor James Griffett: The Essential Shakespearian Song Book.

Together he and the renowned singer Jarmila Chaloupkovd perform songs from the 16th & 17th centuries, and have given concerts throughout the Czech Republic plus teaching and masterclasses in Prague. They have also recorded for the Czech Brodcasting Corporation. In 1998 they toured Slovakia with support from the British Council in Bratislava. This visit included masterclasses at the Conservatoire of Music in Kosice.
Also in 1998 they gave concerts in Paris, including a recital at the Maison Heinrich Heine in the Cite International Universitaire de Paris. In 1999 they performed many concerts together throughout the Czech Republic, in Paris (March) at the Czech Embassy, Institute Danoise and the Lutheran Church and in Austria.
