Biography
This Flamenco Guitarist is based in Bristol and is available for your wedding or function. He is a thrilling flamenco guitarist fast developing a growing body of admirers.
Rooted in the flamenco tradition he brings a dynamic blend of jazz and classical influences. His TV work, particularly his performances on "Waking the Dead", and his recordings have both have been received very well.
Since visiting Grenada in 1984, he has been involved in learning, performing, composing and teaching flamenco. While flamenco has remained his principle focus in music, he is also a typical 20th Century/early 21st Century eclectic and has dipped his toes into folk, samba, Italian, Jewish and modern dance music.
In the late nineties, he completed a degree in music at Bath Spa University College, where he studied contemporary classical guitar and composition. He then continued these studies via an MA and currently teaches at Bath University as well as at various other institutions.
As well as performing solo, he is available with his flamenco group including bookings requiring a flamenco dancer.
