Last year was spent touring taking in venues such as the Hi-Fi and Bluebird Club. He is working on new material.
Style
Early on he developed a style distinctly of his own- he plays lead, rhythm and bass at the same time and this enables his compositions to be both heavily melodic and groove-driven. This complex playing style produces an unusual sound (to hear, please visit the music links at the top of the page.) He composes all of the other instrument parts to his music. He is also an accomplished session guitarist.
Influences
His guitar influences range far and wide: from Charlie Hunter, Tuck Andress, Wes Montgomery, George Benson, Jimi Hendrix to Eric Clapton. His guitar of choice is a Gibson Les Paul (or a Epiphone semi-acoustic).
Career Notes
His professional career has taken him from participation in masterclasses with Mark Knopfler and Frank Gambale, to appearing as a finalist at the 'Acoustic Guitarist of the Year' awards at the National Music Show. He (as part of Row Z) has also supported Courtney Pine and Dennis Rollins 'Badbone and Co' in concert.
