Biography
This Classical guitarist has performed in concerts around the UK both as a soloist and in ensemble including with Serenata, music for voice and guitar and as part of Old English Enterprises Tudor and Elizabethan evenings. Other guitarists he has worked with include Carlos Bonell, Timothy Walker and Amanda Cook. Co-Founder of Serenata, music for voice & guitar with Soprano Susan Heaton-Wright in 1996. Numerous concerts throughout the UK, Italy & France with music clubs & festivals. In 1998, two commissions were funded by A4E Arts Lottery for guitar & voice by Ruth Byrchmore and John Rushby Smith. Current commission being composed by Brad Richter for 2001. Recent concerts include Dillington Guitar Festival, Cartmel Priory, Kendal Mid-day Concerts and in Benicasim, Spain.
Arranger of a number of songs for guitar and voice. Recently completed Manuel de Falla's seven popular songs and Ravel's five popular Greek songs for two guitars and voice. These were performed at the Dillington Guitar Festival in August 2000 with Amanda Cook (Guitar) and Susan Heaton-Wright (soprano).
