Biography
This classical guitar duo are based in Brighton and available for concerts, functions and weddings in the South East.
Guitarist 1 studied classical guitar at Trinity College of Music and during her time at the college performed in a wide variety of ensembles as well as singing in the choir. Over the last ten years playing in bands has been a huge part of her life. She has released two albums with the bands 'Skandinavia' & 'The Suffrajets' (playing lead guitar, piano & singing). These have required extensive touring around the UK, Europe & Scandinavia.
She has performed at the Glastonbury Festival, The Secret Garden Party, Download Festival, has been featured on the front cover of Guitarist Magazine and has toured supporting The Kooks amongst other well-known bands. Recently she has been playing guitar for Adam Ant.
She continues to study flamenco guitar as well as performing in this guitar duo, exploring the classical, Spanish and Latin American repertoire for two guitars. As well as her work as a guitarist, she is a tutor and music examiner.
Guitarist 2 is an experienced guitarist who has performed in a wide range of musical styles and ensembles. He has a diploma in guitar performance from Trinity College of Music and a diploma in Jazz Studies.
He works as a session guitarist with different bands and groups and plays in theatrical productions including West Side Story, Round the Horne, Chess, Tommy and other shows. He has also toured the Caribbean with RCCL on the cruise ship Voyager of the Seas, working as both electric and classical guitarist.
He has performed at many venues and events, including at the Glastonbury festival, the Bedford River Festival, the Brighton Festival and has sung in choirs at the Albert Hall, Brighton Dome and the Bridgwater Hall. As well as playing guitar and singing, He also plays lute, bass guitar & drums.
He works as a guitar tutor in colleges in Sussex. As a music examiner his work has taken him around the UK & Europe and also to Malaysia and India.
