Biography
This Finger-style Guitarist has a Bmus Hons Degree in Folk and Traditional Music. He plays a wide mix of Country and Ragtime, Celtic and Traditional Music (English and Irish), Classical, Jazz and original compositions.
He is a professional guitarist who graduated from the Folk and Traditional Music Degree in 2010.
He has worked with ceilidh band Sunnyside Up, folk band Twisted String Theory, Northumbrian Traditional Musician and composer Alistair Anderson as well as a variety of solo engagements.
In 2004 he won the 'New Roots' Competition in St Albans that resulted in many performance opportunities including a spot at Leigh on Sea Folk Festival. He has also worked as a soloist for weddings and functions, from christenings to luncheons organised by the vice chancellor of Newcastle University.
In 2010 he played at Whitby Folk Week, one of the biggest folk festivals in the world. He has also performed at Sidmouth Folk Festival as well as many other folk clubs, arts centres and village halls.
