Biography
This Midlands based, Gypsy Swing styled band play music influenced by artists such as Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. Some people think they play folk and some say it's like bluegrass, but it's really French acoustic jazz from the 1930s and 40s - originally music to dance to. The band aim to have fun and share the music they love with anyone who wants to listen. There is some debate over whether the audience or the band have more fun at their gigs!
Impressively, the band's guitarist was a national Acoustic Guitarist of the Year finalist has played on a number of commercial recordings and at major UK venues.
Their violinist has played violin with major touring artists at some of Europe's biggest venues.
The second guitarist of the band has played acoustic guitar at major venues all over the country with top acoustic acts and is a well know music educator.
Their double bassist is virtually ubiquitous on the Midlands acoustic music scene. It would be easier to list the bands he hasn't played double bass in.
Where possible, they like to include a couple of guest artistes in their performances:
A regular singing guest to the band has a unique voice and singing style that has been compared to Billie Holiday.
